This information will be collected and used in accordance with the National Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1968. Any information provided to third parties will be reported in aggregate ensuring anonymity. You also acknowledge that you may be contacted by Taverner Research, Cint Australia Pty Ltd, Cint AB, or other third party research agencies located both in and outside Australia and invited to take part in market research surveys.

How does it work?
Members receive emails inviting them to take part in online or focus group surveys.  For each online survey completed, members receive points that can be converted into PayPal dollars.

What are the surveys about?
Surveys can range in topics to gain an insight into the needs, attitudes, behaviours and motivations of a particular market or segment of people.

Who is generally invited to take part in surveys?
The surveys try to get a good representation of people from around Australia. Occasionally there are tight quotas and those invited might get screened-out, this simply means we have already received enough responses from people with your profile or in your location. If this happens we will send you another survey as soon as one becomes available.
Often there are qualifying questions (screening questions) to determine if you are eligible to take part in a particular survey.  These appear before the actual survey questions.   If successful in the qualifying process, the survey will then begin.  As the qualifying process is generally very short, you will not be paid if you do not qualify for the particular survey.

Do I have to answer a survey?
Participation is voluntary.  There will be a link you can click on in the survey invitation email that enables you to decline any particular survey.  We realize people may sometimes not have the time to complete particular surveys, but we hope you can find time for the next one.

How does the incentive scheme work?
Members are a paid for every survey they qualify for and complete in PayPal dollars. It is quick and easy to set-up a PayPal account if you do not already have one. Every invitation email will clearly state the incentive and length of the survey before you begin. The amount of incentive provided is based on the length of the questionnaire.  Every survey invitation you receive we will indicate clearly how long it takes the average person to complete the survey, as well as how much you will earn if completed. This incentive payment can range from $0.10 to $0.17 per minute of survey length.

Can I terminate my membership of the panel?
Yes. An unsubscribe option is available at the bottom of each invitation email.

Any other queries?
You can telephone Taverner Research on (02) 9212 2900 during normal business hours, we would be pleased to speak with you.

How do I collect my incentives?
When you register we will send you a Username and Password. Use these details to log into your “Panelist Page”, from here you can go to “My Earned Points” and see how much money you have earned.  Once you have accumulated AU$8.50 worth of points, you are able to redeem them for PayPal dollars.  Click “Update” and you will be directed to the PayPal website.  If you do not have a PayPal account, PayPal will automatically set this up and send you details on how to log-in when the transfer is complete.  Once your money is in your PayPal account you can transferred it to your nominated bank account or use it for shopping online.

Creating/Updating my Profile
Once you are logged into your “Panelist Page”, click through to “My Personal Information”.  It is best to update this if your situation changes. We will inform you when we add any new topics for you to complete.

Why do I need to provide profiling information?
Each member of the Taverner panel has their own account.  The registration form has some questions for you to answer in order for us to tailor surveys which may suit you best, the more information you can give us the more chance you will have of receiving relevant surveys that you will qualify for.  For example, if we were conducting a survey about fuel prices, we may want to talk to people who own a car.  But, if we were conducting a survey about public transport, we may talk to people who don’t own a car.

I can’t remember my password
Click on the “Member Login” page and click the link to retrieve your password. Input your email address and a temporary password will be sent to you. You can then log in and reset your password to something that you prefer.

Survey Invitations
Survey invitations will be sent to the email address you provide.   From there you can click on the appropriate link to begin or to decline the survey.   If you choose to accept the survey invitation, you will be redirected to the online survey.  Survey invitations come from surveys@taverner.com.auPlease ensure that this email address is on your safe senders list in your mail program.  When you sign up, also check your junk mail for initial survey invitations, then mark as safe sender.

Survey Timings
The time between surveys invitations can vary.   Once you have completed a survey, we wait a few days before sending out another invitation.  If you do not qualify for a survey however, you will be invited to the next suitable survey.  Often researchers will target particular demographics, so there is not a set schedule for receiving invitations. On average, we hope to send you a survey about once a month.

Incomplete Surveys
Due to the nature of market research, it is important that you complete the entire survey or you may not receive your incentive. Some surveys will provide you with a ‘suspend’ option.  If you choose to suspend and return to the survey at a later time please be careful to follow the instructions on screen. Sometimes at the end of surveys there is a “Submit” button, you must click this button for your survey to register.
